While inheriting and developing the more than 350-year-old traditions of Ohi ware, Ohi Toyasai actively challenges public exhibitions in pursuit of the artistry and potential of ceramic arts.
In 2016, he handed over Ohi Chozaemon title to his eldest son, and after that he started to call himself Ohi Toyasai.
