Graduated from Kanazawa College of Art (Doctoral Course (Crafts), Research Department of Fine Art and Craft)

Creates mask-like works by means of the hollow dry lacquer method. Considers Jung’s “persona” (from the Latin word for “mask”) a psychic trauma scab, and seeks to create mask-like things from lacquer, since lacquer is a substance that covers scratches on tree surfaces, thus trying to express the relationship between his art and its material.
