Since its foundation in 1862, this shop has made and sold Kaga dolls, Kaga lion heads and Kaga Hachiman dolls, which are handmade with traditional techniques. The founder was a dancing mask craftsman, which is the reason for the shop’s name of “Menya”, meaning “a house that creates the shape of a face”.
